CLEARWATER - Police are trying to find the person who shot a cat with a bow and arrow.
The arrow pierced the cat's leg.
Someone saw the wounded cat and called the Pinellas County Humane Society. They rescued the cat and brought him in for surgery.
The Humane Society says this is a horrible case of animal abuse and they are working to track down the person who shot the arrow.
"This is a big, full-size hunting arrow. It's a big aluminum arrow, it's got feathers on the end and a nice sharp point [that] went right through the cat's foreleg and created a real big hole," offered Twila Cole of the Humane Society.
The cat is doing well and should recover. Vets at the hospital have nicknamed him 'Robin Hood.'
They hope he'll be able to be adopted out when he's recovered.
