ST. PETERSBURG - Movie star Lindsay Lohan is being sued by a St. Petersburg woman.

In the lawsuit, Jennifer Sunday claims Lohan and her business partner stole a tanning spray product that she formulated. The lawsuit was filed last week and it claims Lohan stole the product, then put it on the market.

The product in dispute is Sevin Nyne tanning spray. It is a new line launced by Lohan and Las Vegas businesswoman Lorit Simon.

With Lohan's face behind the product, it could be a big seller.

But St. Petersburg attorney Marcia Cohen says Lohan and her partner stole her client's product right from under her.

"All the ingredients were the same, the packaging was the same, they stole her formula, reversed engineered it, had someone else manufacture it and sold it," Cohen said.

In court papers recently filed Florida, chemist Jennifer Sunday is suing Lohan for breach of contract. Sunday owns White Wave International Labs in St. Petersburg.

Late last year, Cohen says her client and the defendant were trying to work out a deal on the tanning product her client had invented.

But negotiations broke down over money. Cohen says a few months later, her client's product was on the market.

"She was absolutely outraged. She knew they had stolen her formula," Cohen said.

While Lohan's attorneys were not available for comment, Cohen says all Jennifer Sunday wants is what owed to her.

"If they make a lot of money on the sale of this product, perhaps a lot of money, " said Cohen.

Cohen said the issue could be settled out court, but they haven't heard back from Lohan's attorneys.
