Woman's body found in St. Pete

TIERRA VERDE - Pinellas investigators have found the body of a woman in a St. Petersburg home, and are conducting a death investigation.

The woman's body was found at 1927 Brightwaters Blvd. in St. Pete.

They believe her death is connected to the discovery of a man's body earlier Friday afternoon in Tierra Verde. The man was floating in the water near a dock at 1105 2nd Avenue South.

Police say the man was 53-year-old William Wood Jr., and his death was a suicide.

Investigators have not identified the woman. They say she was in her 50s, and they were led to her after interviewing relatives and acquaintances of Wood's.
