VIDEO: Monkey loose in Pinellas

A Safety Harbor firefighter caught video of an escaped monkey leaping through an apartment complex before it ran into a wooded area, and authorities called off the search.

The monkey was spotted at the Sabal Palms apartments at 1355 Bay Harbor Drive in Oldsmar.

Someone saw it swinging through trees and rooftops in the complex and called authorities. It is approximately 30 pounds, possibly a macaque, and wildlife officers say it may be aggressive and dangerous. They say anyone who spots it should call police.
