Pinellas man charged with sexual battery

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH - Pinellas detectives have arrested a man they say sexually molested a young girl during a sleepover at his home.

They arrested 31-year-old Matthew R. Sackett, of Indian Rocks Beach.

Investigators say Sackett molested a 7-year-old girl in April. They say the girl's mother called police about things the girl had said about Sackett.

The incident happened in April, but the investigation began last Friday, and Sackett was arrested Tuesday, according to detectives.

Sackett is charged with capital sexual battery, and lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12. He is being held in the Pinellas County jail.
