Hernando County - A desperate search for a missing bay area couple comes to a tragic end.
Investigators say Lynda McAdams and William Ryan Andrews were shot to death, then taken to a rural area of Weeki Wachee where they were buried.
The couple had been missing for nearly a week.
Investigators say McAdams estranged husband, Michael, confessed to the crime.
People who live in the rural neighborhood were shocked to hear the news.
"We have children that go up here. We have people that ride horses back there you know. My daughter is right here, thank God she wasn't out there riding a horse and come across that because I think that would've been devastating for her as well," said Mary White, who lives near where the bodies were buried.
Pasco county sheriff, Bob White said in a news conference Friday that Michael McAdams told them, he wanted to get it off his chest.
Deputies say he led them to their bodies deep in the woods.
Investigators say Michael McAdams killed the couple at Lynda's house in Dade City, in Pasco County.
Then drove their bodies about 40 minutes away to Hernando County, where he buried them in a remote area of Weeki Wachee.
Detectives say the McAdams were going through a divorce, but that no one saw this coming.
FOX 13 spoke with Andrews brother Saturday and he says the family is going through a tough time right now coping their death.
McAdams is charged with two counts of first degree murder.
During first appearance Saturday a judge denied him bond.
