INVERNESS - Spring temps may have been in the air the past couple of days, but Thursday afternoon, Mother Nature gave the Bay Area a preview of summer-like storms.
A line of storms made its way in from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing tornado watches and warnings, and leaving wind damage and flooding behind.
Citrus County got so much rain so fast, officials put out a long list of closed roads. Photos from the area showed the entire parking lot of an office complex underwater.
In Pasco County, FOX 13 crews reported heavy flooding, stalled cars, and multiple fender benders on wet roads. Some homes in the Zephyrhills area were damaged by high winds.
As the storms made their way east across the state, tornado warnings popped up in Polk County, and there were reports of wind damage in Haines City.
FOX 13's Peter Linton-Smith will have more tonight at 10.
