2 injured in plane crash

SPRING HILL - Two men are in critical condition after their plane crashed in Pasco County.

The Piper 180 slammed into the ground near the intersection of State Road 52 and 41, close to the Pilot Country Airport in Spring Hill.

The two men were taken by helicoper to St. Joseph's Hospital. 

The pilot has been identified as Arthur Michaud, 49, of New Port Richey, according to the Pasco County Sheriffi's office. The passenger has been identified as Anthony Parisi, 46, of Palm Harbor.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
