Deputies investigate Sin City shooting

TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a nightclub early this morning.

Deputies responded to reports of gunshots fired outside Sin City, located in the 5600 block of Hillsborough Avenue, around 2:30 a.m.

When deputies arrived they did not find any victims, the sheriff's office said. But witnesses told them a man was taken to the 2200 block of Chelsea Street in Tampa.

The victim died at the scene, according to an HCSO spokesperson. He has been identified as Marcus Wesley, 24.

Deputies said a 22-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.   He's listed in serious condition.

The sheriff's office has not released a motive, but says it's investigating the shooting as a homicide.
