Police arrest 4th man in 3-county robbery spree

TAMPA - Police say a fourth suspect has been arrested in a rash of violent armed robberies that have occurred in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties since the beginning of May.

Officers working with the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force located 23-year-old Rykeith Levatte, who they say robbed a Circle K customer at gunpoint on May 28 along with three other suspects.

A witness identified Levatte, police say. In this particular robbery, investigators say Levatte and the other suspects pistol whipped the customer and stole his wallet, cell phone, and pants.

Jail records show that Levatte has a long rap sheet and has previously served time in state prison on several charges including robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.

Detectives from several law enforcement agencies have already arrested Antonio Harris, 20; Antoine Harris, 21; and Alden Lewis, 27 in the robbery spree. Officers are still working to link additional robberies and additional suspects to the crimes, and say more charges are coming.
