Gasparilla Film Fest kicks off

TAMPA - Thursday night, the Gasparilla International Film Festival held its kick off party at the Cinebistro at Hyde Park.

Each year, GIFF aims to bring Bay Area residents the best independent and international films. Festival organizers say it’s on its way of becoming the largest event of its kind in the Bay Area.

GIFF will hold its opening night next Thursday, March 18 at the Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa. The opening film is titled, “happythankyoumoreplease.” It’s creators say the film gives an interesting look at young people.
