Facebook divorce case in court

TAMPA - The woman who learned about her husband's affair on Facebook was in a Tampa courtroom Wednesday.

Lynn France and her estranged husband John France are divorcing and fighting for custody of their two children.

The case made national headlines when, in 2008, Lynn France says she grew suspicious of her husband and started doing research online.

To her surprise, she says, she discovered her husband had gotten married to another woman while checking Facebook.

Yet, John France claims he never was married to Lynn, and all he wants is to have custody of their kids.

Both sides say they want to work things out for the sake of the kids, but so far, no one's budging.

Lynn, who lives in Cleveland, wanted the Ohio courts to handle the divorce proceedings, but John filed in Florida weeks before she did, so jurisdiction came here.

A Tampa judge now wants both sides to go to mediation and try to work out some sort of custody agreement.
