BRANDON - Hillsborough County deputies are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Brandon late last night.

A woman was crossing the road at Bloomingdale Avenue and Patterson Road shortly before 11 p.m. when a car traveling eastbound on Bloomingdale struck her, deputies said.

The victim's name has still not been released.

Deputies said the driver will not be charged, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
