TAMPA - He’s 73-years-old and he’s in jail – accused of robbing a bank. James Bruce went before a Hillsborough County judge today to enter a plea of not guilty.

He was arrested in February after investigators say he held up three banks in the area. Officers say he took about $600 each time.

Investigators say he confessed to the robberies, claiming he needed the money to pay his mortgage.

Bruce remains behind bars on a $23,000 bail and is expected back in court tomorrow to get that dollar amount reduced.
