ODESSA - It's an unthinkable crime: four boys between the ages of 14 and 15 years old are accused of brutally assaulting a 13-year-old boy at school.

Hillsborough Sheriff investigators say the attack happened at Walker Middle School in Odessa.
Detectives say on April 30th, the boys attacked the victim in the school locker room.

They say two boys held the 13 year old down, while detectives say the two others sexually battered the boy with a broom stick and a hockey stick.

It took several days before the school was even aware there was a problem.

After nearly two months of being picked on and harassed, detectives say the victim went to school officials.

An investigation into bullying was underway when Hillsborough School spokesperson Steve Hegarty says they realized they were dealing with something much more serious.

"On Wednesday morning, when we talked to some of the boys, some of the details started coming out. We got the school resource deputy involved, so at that point, law enforcement is involved," Hegarty said.

Parents like Deirdre Sneed were told about the incident on Thursday, many expressing disbelief and sorrow.

"When I heard about it, it really shocked me, and my heart goes out to the family and all the families involved, " said Sneed.

Now, according to the State Attorney's office, the four boys will be charged as adults. 14-year-old John Moye, 14-year-old Raymond Price Murray, 15-year-old Diamante Roberts and 14-year-old Lee Louis Myers will be charged with false imprisonment and sexual battery -- serious charges that, if they are convicted, could keep the boys out of school for good.
