Water main break closes Armenia

TAMPA - Armenia Avenue is closed in both directions between Waters Avenue and Busch Boulevard while crews work to repair a water main break.

An 8-inch water main burst, and caused a hole to open in the road.

The water main break has been repaired, but crews say it will take several days to repair the hole in the road.

Officials say the break had nothing to do with the cold; rather, it was just an old line that cracked.

In St. Petersburg, construction crew broke a water main at 18th Avenue South and 22nd Street.

The roadway is flooding, and cars are making their way through the water.
