DADE CITY - The Dade City Chamber of Commerce has canceled the annual Christmas parade schedule for tomorrow at 7 p.m.
Chamber officials said they felt the impending storm front would pose a safety risk for parade participants and spectators.
No make up date has been scheduled.
And in Polk City, officials have canceled the Christmas parade scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. due to the weather conditions.
Polk City has set a rain date for Saturday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.
The city of Tampa has also cancelled the boat parade scheduled for Friday night. The second Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, on December 18, will still be held as scheduled, officials say.
And Dunedin has postponed its Old Fashioned Christmas celebration until Saturday, from 6 to 9 p.m. That even follows the annual Holiday Parade, which begins at 4 p.m.
