TAMPA - FOX 13 has learned that Tampa Bay Buccaneer Jeremy Trueblood was arrested in Indiana on charges of public intoxication Tuesday night.
The Hancock County Jail confirmed that Trueblood was booked at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after he was arrested by police in Greenfield, Ind.
According to WXIN-TV, the FOX affiliate in Indianapolis, Trueblood was a passenger in a car that stopped at a gas station for directions. Someone reportedly called 911 at that time but WXIN did not have any further information as to what happened.
Police tell WXIN that Trueblood has been cooperative and should be released on bond Wednesday morning.
Greenfield is just east of Indianapolis, which is listed as Trueblood's hometown in his NFL profile. He played football at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis and went on to Boston College. Trueblood, an offensive tackle, was a second-round draft pick and has played four seasons with the Bucs.
