Fourth of July events for Tampa Bay

TAMPA - Here is a list of many of the Independence Day celebrations scheduled across the Tampa Bay Area:

July 3

Pre-Fourth of July Celebration
George M. Steinbrenner Field / Legends Field - 1 Steinbrenner Dr - Tampa 7 p.m.
The Yankees will host the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 7:00p.m and after the conclusion of the game we will have fireworks to ring in our nation's 233rd birthday.

Busch Gardens, Tampa
David Cassidy, of legendary Partridge Family and pop music fame, will be performing at Busch Gardens on July 3. Cassidy has had numerous hits, including I Write the Songs, Lyin to Myself and I Think I Love You. The park is open until 10 p.m. through August 16 for their special Summer Nights event.

Bradenton Beach Fireworks Celebration

Fireworks and music get the 4th of July weekend started right on Bradenton Beach. A spectacular 45 minute fireworks display will be shot from a barge in the water. Plenty of BBQ and drinks.

Maderia Beach - July 4
Promising a traditional show ending in a spectacular finale of lights, this event is expected to have a duration of 20 to 30 minutes during which 3,938 rounds of premium display fireworks will be set off. The display will be fired from the city recreation park on Rex Place next to the City Hall complex.

Wander down Historic Main Street, and experience Bradenton's high energy, pre-fireworks, block party! The street is closed off to make room for food vendors, merchants, live music, and entertainment for the kids. The party lasts from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., with a view of the Fireworks over the Manatee River at 9:30 p.m.

Siesta Key 4th of July Fireworks
Siesta Key Beach
July 4 : 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Fireworks can be seen from Midnight Pass to the Siesta Key Village, so there is no "bad" viewing on Siesta Key! Arrive early as free beach access parking is limited. BYO beach chairs or towels, and food/beverages (no glass containers permitted). The show begins after sunset, and lasts for about an hour.

Freedomfest - Tampa
The Florida Aquarium, located at 701 Channelside Dr, is the site of Tampa's daylong FreedomFest.
Live Music and Entertainment start in the afternoon, and end with a spectacular Fireworks Demonstration at 9 PM.
More than 50,000 People turn out, but you can also view the fireworks from a variety of `less crowded' spots nearby

Riverview
A Fourth of July celebration will kick off at 1 p.m American Legion Post 148, 7240 U.S. 301 S. The event will feature a pig roast, live entertainment and prize drawings. Guests are encouraged to bring items to be sent to deployed troops such as phone cards, powdered drink mixes, protein bars antifungal powders, DVDs and AA and AAA batteries. Cost is $6. Museum of Science and Industry
An evening of dinner, dancing and fireworks will be offered on Friday, July 4
4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa. Cocktails will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. with dinner seating at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served under the stars inside MOSIs Saunders Planetarium. The event also will feature dancing in Kids in Charge!, a musical performance by Spirit of Freedom and champagne. Later, guests will gather on top of the IMAX Dome Theatre to view Tampa Bays fireworks displays. Cost is $225 for individuals or $400 for couples. For reservations, call 813-987-6077 by June 30.
