Peter Linton-Smith

Peter Linton-Smith is a general assignment reporter for FOX 13 and currently assigned to our Pasco County Bureau. He joined WTVT-TV in October 2007.

Peter attended the University of Florida and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in political science.

Peter comes to the Bay Area from WITI, a FOX 13 sister station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He reported in Milwaukee for nine years.

Peter got a taste of breaking news while working as a student photographer at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center. There he shot the births of Florida's first quadruplets and Florida's first artificial heart implant surgery.

Peter has also worked in Sarasota, Tennessee and Tucson, Arizona during his reporting career. His assignments have included covering presidential campaigns to complex federal civil rights cases.

He is an avid Gator fan, and when he's not working, he enjoys skydiving and running marathons. To date he has 2000 jumps under is belt, and his goal is to run a marathon in all 50 states. He's run ten so far, and counting.
