BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER - This field blends the design and problem solving skills of engineering and medical sciences to improve healthcare diagnosis and treatment. Most employers require a bachelor's degree for this position.
NETWORK SYSTEMS AND DATA COMMUNICATIONS (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) - As companies continue to use more and newer technology, they will need more employees to monitor and set up those networks. Jobs in this field typically require at least a bachelor's degree. Some companies do require graduate degrees.
HOME HEALTH AIDE - As the population of our country continues to age, the need for people to care for them is on the rise. A Home Health Aide is a licensed medical professional whose job duties can entail giving medications, feeding patients, checking vital signs and assisting with general errands and chores. You must have some sort of medical degree. Generally those in this field are Certified Nurses Assistants. Employers generally require some short term on-the-job training as well.
PERSONAL HOME CARE AIDES - This is non-medical care that is provided in the home of persons who are elderly, disabled or terminally ill. Employers generally require short term on-the-job-training for these positions.
FINANCIAL EXAMINERS - In this time of financial turmoil, the finances of securities and real estate firms are being looked at with a fine-tooth comb. Financial examiners enforce or ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing those institutions. They may examine, verify correctness of, or establish authenticity of records. This position generally requires a bachelor's Degree.
PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANTS - Practice medicine under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. PAs are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, as delegated by a physician. They can also act as the principal care providers in rural or inner-city clinics where a physician is present for only one or two days each week. PA's generally must have a master's level degree.
SKIN CARE SPECIALIST - The population is aging, and people want to age gracefully. This is a career field that will continue to see growth as skin care continues to be a priority for many people. It requires a vocational certificate.
ATHLETIC TRAINER - This is a certified, health care professional who practices in the field of medical athletic training. They are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Positions in this field generally require a bachelor's degree.
