National Pain Awareness Month

September is National Pain Awareness Month, and that issue has never been more important for Florida. The state medical examiner says at least seven people die every day in Florida from prescription drug abuse.

Dr. Rafael Miguel, an interventional pain specialist, joined Good Day to discuss the myths surrounding pain medication and a new drug awareness campaign called The Pain Truth. The campaign kicked off on September 1 to initially educate residents through public service announcements and community events across the state.
