'The Situation' reveals Jersey Shore secrets

ST. PETERSBURG - Jersey Shore’s own Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was in the Bay Area over the weekend. He made an appearance at The Venue to judge a bikini contest. Hundreds of people packed the place to see the reality show star. So it’s safe to say that The Situation created a situation at the club.

Sorrentino sat down with MyFoxTampaBay to talk about last season.  He even revealed some secrets about what we can expect from the show the next time it hits the airwaves.

What can we expect from the second season of Jersey Shore?
The second season is almost upon is – in probably two to three weeks until season two is about to happen. The Situation is going to make it legendary. It’s going to be the best reality series in history. Of course the man, the myth, the legend, The Situation is going to make it happen.

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the past six months?
Probably the coolest thing that’s happened to me besides people fainting or crying when they see me. Probably the coolest thing that’s happened to me is meeting Leonardo DiCaprio. We hung out the whole night and it was actually pretty cool.

Someone fainted when they saw you? What happened?
Actually, to be really funny, it was actually a guy that had fainted in St. Louis and on the other hand some of the ladies they were crying and screaming. I’m pretty blessed to be where I am at right now and everything’s going pretty hot. I heard he fainted and the ambulance came and they woke him up. It definitely was a situation.

Who are you most looking forward to reuniting with in the house?
Well, of course me and Pauley D are best friends and just looking forward to tanning up like we usually do. There’s still the same drama, still the same issues with all the same people in the house. I’m just eager to see what happens when we’re all together and that should be in about two to three weeks that’s going to be going down.

Who are you least looking forward to reconnecting with?
If Angelina comes back, which I don’t know if she is, probably her. But at the same time, I’m not a hater, but Vinny sometimes he can, some times, try to jock me a little bit. So, I’m not too happy about people jocking me, you know what I mean? Take that picture from behind your bed, you know?

Is it true that you’ll be in Miami for the next season of Jersey Shore?
You know, I really don’t know the exact location of Jersey 2 but I know it’s very soon and wherever it is, it’s going to probably be the highest rated TV show of the year. Just like Jersey Shore was. It was the highest rated show in MTV history, I believe, with the biggest ratings, with The Situation being the main character.

Some people say you portrayed the Jersey Shore in a negative light. What would you say to those people?
Everybody knows that we’re young. We’re in our 20’s and we’re having fun. Sometimes, you know, life isn’t perfect – it could be better. This is reality TV so at any particular time you will get a situation. But at the end of the day we’re young and if we do make mistakes we learn from them. People saying it’s portrayed in a bad light – everybody knows that we’re not a definition of Jersey or a definition of Italians. We represent ourselves. We’re having fun and it’s harmless fun, and obviously if you don’t like the show that much, they invented the channel changer and you can press that button and change it.

You say you don’t portray Italians, who do you portray most?
I pretty much portray The Situation, who’s pretty much the biggest reality TV show star in the world right now so that’s who I portray. I represent. America loves The Situation and if you don’t love The Situation I’m going to make you love The Situation.

How do the girls here in Tampa stack up to the ones you’ve met all over the country?
The girls here are definitely beautiful girls and I’m blessed to be able to travel the country right now. You know, I really don’t know if too many people have too much on Tampa right now.
