TAMPA - The better your credit, the less you pay on mortgages, car loans, and credit cards. But there's concern that many people aren't getting credit savvy enough, soon enough. So there's a new push to educate teens, that some say could pay off for everyone.
Debbie Brown is an investigator with Hillsborough Consumer Protection.This week, she has been talking with high school students about why money, math and credit matter so much.
She is also talking about the menace of identity thieves who want social security numbers and bank accounts to access your cash and credit. Brown says not enough students and parents realize that the threat is greater now than ever before.
