    The Tampa Bay Rays are splashing the cash on one of their youngest talents, signing pitcher Chris Archer to a new deal.
    Chris Archer has signed a 6-year contract with the Rays worth $25.5 million. That locks the right-handed 25-year-old pitcher through 2019. The deal also includes options for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, which would make the grand total of the deal worth nearly $44 million.
