Suffocated child showed signs of previous abuse, investigators say

According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, five adults and one other child were inside the mobile home where a 16-month-old boy died wrapped in layers of heavy blankets -- including the child's mother. The baby's father is charged with third-degree murder; the other adults are under investigation.
